Whale Shark Capital

Ari Atoll

Year-Round Giant Encounters

Ari Atoll holds the extraordinary distinction of being one of the only places on Earth offering whale shark encounters throughout the entire year. The South Ari Marine Protected Area is a permanent feeding ground — 89 km long and 30 km wide, this is the Maldives’ most expansive atoll.

Fish Head draws advanced divers with hammerhead aggregations and surging currents, while Maaya Thila’s cleaning stations attract mantas in their graceful ballet. Local islands Dhigurah and Maamigili offer authentic stays built around sustainable wildlife tourism.

UNESCO Biosphere

Baa Atoll

Manta Ray Paradise

Designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2011, Baa Atoll represents one of the planet’s most important marine ecosystems. The crown jewel is Hanifaru Bay — a small horseshoe-shaped bay that transforms into nature’s most spectacular show during the southwest monsoon.

Between May and November, massive plankton blooms attract up to 200 manta rays simultaneously. Access is restricted to just 80 snorkelers daily, making a private charter the ideal way to guarantee your spot.

Lhaviyani Atoll

Untouched Paradise

Remote Lhaviyani Atoll remains one of the Maldives’ best-kept secrets. Located in the northern reaches of the archipelago, this pristine atoll sees a fraction of the dive traffic found in more accessible areas — resulting in healthier coral systems and marine life seemingly unbothered by human presence.
